Jimmy Kimmel wasn’t having Donald Trump’s comments and it is great

Donald Trump opened his mouth again Tuesday and Jimmy Kimmel was there to tear him down. And it is a pretty great thing to see.

The news is hard right now but Jimmy Kimmel made it a little better. Well, not the news itself but how we are digesting it. Why? Because he broke down every aspect of Trump’s comments from Tuesday and pointed out the insanity behind it all.

For those who don’t know, the Charlottesville protests have been the talk of the town. Mainly because neo-Nazis are getting sympathy from the president. In fact, today he said that there are some “very fine people on both sides.” Meaning that he’s saying both the Alt-Right and “Alt-Left” are bad.

What is the Alt-Left, you ask? Well, that would be the people protesting racism and fascism. But that’s not how Donald Trump saw the KKK and the neo-Nazis that took over Charlottesville with tiki torches this weekend.

Kimmel wasn’t going to let the president off easy. Instead, he began breaking down everything about Trump’s comments and explaining why they’re wrong. The best? When he pointed out that anyone walking with a group chanting “Jews will not replace us” is not a “very fine” person by any stretch of the meaning.

Granted, you can still politically back whoever you want, but Kimmel’s reaction to Trump is pretty spot on for how a lot of us feel. Even if we don’t want to talk politics anymore, we’re almost forced to.

Trust me, all I want to do is tweet about Chris Pine and, instead, I’m on Twitter trying to explain why Nazis are bad since our president won’t do it. But in the end, this shows the power and importance of the people and our voices.

Kimmel, Meyers, Corden, Fallon and Colbert are taking on Trump each and every night (with Bee, Oliver, and others chiming in weekly, too) and we’re lucky to have them around.
