2. Hufflepuff Spirit Wear

Each Hogwarts house has its own superstars. Yes, even Hufflepuff.

It took some time, but Hufflepuffs are finally getting the love and recognition they deserve. For that, we can thank Mr. Newt Scamander, the magizoologist at the center of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.

Now, fans are getting even more of Newt’s story in 2018, in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. For die-hard Potterheads, the announcement of the sequel is doubly exciting. It means getting more story on Grindelwald and a young Dumbledore, and the Deathly Hallows – check out the poster again, Grindelwald is holding the Elder Wand.

Of course, the wand chooses the wizard, so it’s a bit hard to gift the Elder Wand this holiday. But there’s plenty of ways to support the one of the Wizarding World’s first icons, Newt. The most appropriate would be rocking a Hufflepuff scarf.

Again, there’s no choosing houses. But there’s also nothing wrong with supporting fellow houses. A Hufflepuff scarf will keep the wearer warm, and be subtle enough to pass as a plain old scarf. Yellow and black can go with most winter outfits.

To go the extra mile, it is possible to knit or crochet the scarf by hand. But it’s probably easier just to buy one. It’ll save time, stress and fingers. Given that it’s officially licensed by Warner Brothers, it’ll cost a bit more than a muggle scarf – through the Harry Potter Shop, it’s about $30 – but the magical feeling it adds is incomparable.
