7. Once Upon A Time Storybook Journal
For fans of old-school stories, ABC found the perfect solution – and a hit TV series. Once Upon A Time combined classic stories like Red Riding Hood with newer ones like Frozen. Now in its seventh season, OUAT has one of the biggest fandoms there are, even when it looked like things might be coming to an end last year.
When Jennifer Morrison announced she wouldn’t be returning for the show’s newest season, save for a single episode, the rest of the dominoes fell quickly. Most of the core cast, including Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas, announced they either weren’t returning or only returning for short arcs.
Somehow, the show writers managed to work through it, and this season’s story has been surprisingly popular. Sadly, the original storybook that fans came to know and love was closed at the end of season 6, and given a modern update in Hyperion Heights.
But like most of Storybrooke’s residents, just because it’s gone, doesn’t mean it’s forgotten. So for fans of the OG Once Upon A Time, and potential new authors, there’s Redbubble’s storybook journal.
In the show, the book helped Henry to believe and shattered curses. In the real world, the journal still has a bit of a magical feel to it. It’s the perfect place to write down new ideas, or even full-blown stories. And, as long as it’s not magical ink, the worlds will be contained.
The best part is, the journal could become a tradition. After all, OUAT did let fans know that there are several versions of the book. Each new empty one has endless potential.
