After last week’s cliffhanger, can Scandal season 7 get any crazier? Each week the twists and turns are even more unimaginable, extreme and definitely not Gladiator worthy.
Last week’s Scandal season 7 episode was supposed to be celebratory. Quinn and Charlie were getting married. After the bomb exploded on President Rashad’s plane, the White House is stunned.
Not only is Mellie crushed that Rashad is gone, but Quinn feels responsible for his niece’s death too. Although any Scandal fan knows that nothing should be taken at face value. Rashad’s execution could be more complicated.
The synopsis of the winter finale, “Something Borrowed” really doesn’t tell us anything, but TV Guide says:
"The first half of the final season ends with shocking revelations and jaw-dropping events."
Based on that sentence, the winter finale could be about anything. Going into the episode, a few things are known. Quinn is missing. Charlie is devastated. Olivia doesn’t wear a white hat anymore. And the dinosaur might still be gone.
At some point in this episode, there needs to be some closure. The episode’s title is “Something Borrowed” might provide a little clue. Olivia gave Quinn a hair pin from the Smithsonian to wear on her wedding day. That pin didn’t appear in the second half of the last episode. Maybe if the Gladiators can find the hair pin, they can find who took Quinn.
Like any good Scandal episode, nothing will be quite as it seems. Some crazy twist will have to happen. Maybe Fitz is the evil person behind all these horrible acts. Vermont could have made him go a little mad.
