It’s the finale for Marvel’s Inhumans! Will we see Black Bolt’s power unleashed? Or will Attilan fall into the hands of Maximus? Let’s find out!

Welcome ladies and gentlemen, to the Marvel’s Inhumans season finale! Season or series? Who knows! Let’s hop to it!

Not-So-Short Summary/Thoughts/Feelings

Hooray! Louise is back! And still amazing. She’s their backup plan and her old company will help. Who’s the “boss” mentioned? Guesses in my household were Coulson and Nick Fury. More on that later.

It’s also fun to see Triton in action since he died 30 seconds into the series. He’s got some excellent fighting skills that make for entertaining scenes.

How does everyone feel about Gorgon’s return from the dead and his resulting insanity? On one hand, the madness makes sense (as Maximus wants to go through it again and he is Maximus The Mad in the comics). On the other hand, it feels like a cheap use of Gorgon’s character.

Throughout the finale, there’s a lot of meeting with Maximus, him telling them to go pound sand, them messing with things, the protective shield slowly failing. And, you know, Maximus going insane faster and faster. I’m very much cheering for Auran to be the one to kill Maximus at this point.

After a touching speech by Medusa to all of Attilan and the dome collapsing faster, the people of Attilan flee to Earth as well as everyone in the Royal Family except for Maximus and Black Bolt.

We finally get the full story of how Maximus made Black Bolt murder their parents. He forged a document advocating for brain surgery on Black Bolt that his parents “approved,” and when Black Bolt confronted them about it, he confronted them about it. But Maximus thought Black Bolt would flee to Earth and leave him in charge.

He locks Maximus in the bunker (after punching him in the face, which felt more justified) and then we see his powers in full as he says, “Goodbye, brother,” and collapses the building to close any remaining openings.

As the barrier fails and Attilan begins to collapse, the throne’s encryption’s glow blue. What the heck does that mean?!

The Royal Family dresses up in their best, fanciest attire to talk to their people now on Earth. And for once, Medusa isn’t a translator — she gets to speak for them!

Badass Moment of the Week

Medusa throwing the Terrigen Crystal against the wall rather than giving it to Maximus.

Best One-Liner

“There isn’t a friend I trust more,” Medusa says to Louise.
”She doesn’t have many friends,” Crystal mutters.
”Neither do I,” Louise counters. She’s my favorite.

Apparently the real danger to Inhumans is not humans. What is it? Well … no one ever says.

And remember when I said “more on that later” with the “boss” of Louise? Yep, nothing on that either. I guess they need to leave some things dangling.

Who else thoroughly enjoyed that preview of Agents of SHIELD during the first commercial break? And the preview at the end of the episode! Space? Aliens?! It’s going to be crazy. And back on Dec.1! Did we just see a bunch of Ravagers?!

I want it, and I want it now. Chris Pratt did do a lot of television with Parks and Recreation; can’t he make an appearance as Star-Lord?

We have some feelings on Inhumans as a whole. Be on the lookout for some of our takeaways in the next few days. Will Inhumans return for another season? Or will they just pop up on Agents of SHIELD? We’ll have to wait and find out.
