Already in the first five episodes of Scandal season 7, the Republic has been turned upside down. Olivia’s white hat isn’t white anymore. The Gladiators have been relegated to glorified babysitters. Fitz has been banished to Vermont. Every twist and turn brings another negative outcome.
Could Scandal season 7 episode 6 finally bring some happy times?
According to TV Guide, episode 6, “Vampires and Bloodsuckers,” will look like this:
"The Gladiators gather to celebrate Quinn and Charlie’s wedding day; Cyrus, Mellie and Jake deal with a new crisis in the Middle East."
The final scene of last week’s episode was a huge setback. Just when everyone thought that a positive outcome would happen, the opposite occurs again with President Rashad’s plane being destroyed. Not only would this development cause another crisis in the Middle East, but Mellie will be crushed.
Given the tenuous Middle East situation, and the previous assassination, didn’t anyone check the plane for explosives? A plane exploding on the tarmac seems preventable. Truthfully, the possibility of someone else pulling the strings seems very likely. Olivia Pope might think that she is command and it’s her world, but that scenario is just too simple in Scandal season 7.
Like any good Scandal episode, nothing should ever be taken at face value. While a wedding should be a happy occasion, this gathering of the Gladiators will probably have some type of hitch. Maybe Quinn will go into labor. As long as there’s no bloodshed, the event is probably a successful one, right?
