The biggest concerning phrase from this preview comes from Nina. Her comment about clothes with no soul are just clothes. That phrase can sum up a lot of the fashion mistakes from
Project Runway
season 16. Many of the bottom looks were knock-offs, redundant and just plain boring.
While the judges have been in love with Brandon, do those clothes produce a strong feeling? Design, color choices and styling can produce a feeling or reaction. Sometimes that feeling doesn’t have to be a positive one. No reaction at all is worse than hating a design. No designer wants to be forgotten.
The other question raised from this preview is why does Tim Gunn have a big Band-Aid on his forehead? Who doesn’t love the mentor/father figure of the show? Hopefully, the issue isn’t something serious, but it’s hard to see that Band-Aid and not feel bad.
