15 top Halloween movie crushes, past and present

1. Barry Bostwick — The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is not, by definition, a Halloween film. It doesn’t actually have a distinct category, outside of being a musical. Still, over the years it’s become a cult classic, and it’s never hard to find showings of the film, especially around Halloween.
Rocky Horror has no shortage of characters, each one odder than the last. And while Rocky’s golden shorts have become part of an iconic Halloween costume, the true hunk of the movie is Brad.
In this case, “hunk” is being used a bit more loosely, since Brad Majors has always been more of a nerdy but lovable character. He was originally played by Barry Bostwick, who couldn’t quite belt out the fuller notes of his songs. But with his bowtie and thick hair — and what would now be considered hipster glasses — Brad was never unattractive.
It was his shy but strong love for Janet that gave him a deeper level, and lands him a spot on this list. Well, that and his future iterations.
Over the years, Brad has thankfully gotten hunkier. When Glee took on Rocky Horror in 2010, Cory Monteith brought the character to life, giving him an even bigger sense of innocence thanks Finn’s lack of theater experience. Most recently, Ryan McCartan took on the role in Fox’s 2016 television remake, lending the strongest voice the character has seen yet.
Like Rocky, Brad has become a popular Halloween costume. More specifically, he’s one half of a costume; Brad and Janet are prime inspiration for couples.
