While Halloween heightens the scare factor, real-life terror is scarier. Do you dare spend Halloween in the London Dungeon for real-life Halloween scares?

Movies and fictional stories have created unspeakable nightmares that are common Halloween themes. From the theme park haunted houses to Halloween costumes, these stories and characters haunt the spookiest month. But, what about real-life Halloween scares? The London Dungeon is filled with real-life terror.

With its long, sometimes brutal history, London is a great place to spend Halloween. From the stories of Jack the Ripper to the ghosts that haunt the Tower of London, real-life Halloween scares can be more frightening than the fictional ones. Many people have stories of ghost encounters, unexplained events and other tales of fright.

During a visit to London, those who dare can seek out these real life or historical scares. Specifically for this Halloween, four lucky people can experience the ultimate Halloween scare at the London Dungeon. Parting with Trip Advisor, the London Dungeon will challenge four people to the ultimate overnight scare test.

On Halloween, four people will spend the night in the London Dungeon. During the overnight visit, the guests will stay in the Death Express. The Death Express is an immersive experience based on the real-life story of the Necropolis Railway. This railway carried dead bodies out of London. Those lost souls may be seeking a new home, answers or just revenge.

During their stay, a jester will play games with these daring guests. Who knows what scary events await them. But, this unique, one-time-only event could be the scare that Halloween fans crave.

The London Dungeon is open throughout the year, but never for overnight stays. The scary, immersive experience blends real-life scary events with actors. Using historical events, the idea is to show that real life can be more intense and memorable than fiction.

If you can’t make it to the London Dungeon, San Francisco has a similar dungeon experience. The San Francisco Dungeon incorporates iconic elements from California’s history into its immersive experience. From the Alcatraz prisoners to the greedy Gold Rush pioneers, these real-life stories could make you wish for the less scary tales of Steven King.
