Man Crush Monday: Joe Keery makes everything stranger

Joe Keery may play Steve Harrington on Stranger Things but we love him for who he is! Which is why this week, he’s our Man Crush Monday!

Man Crush Monday is an important rite of passage and today, that title goes to Joe Keery from Stranger Things. Now it isn’t because he’s done anything or even that we’re getting excited about him suddenly.

In fact, the reason Joe makes the list is because of his co-star Finn Wolfhard. Recently, I saw the movie It and it made me think a lot about Stranger Things and what I love about the show. And while I love the little kids most of all, I also really enjoy Steve and his friends.

But mainly Steve. Joe is just so adorable as the ’80s heartthrob who has a hard time dealing with everything going on around them. He’s trying to help and while he screws up, he also is willing to learn and be worthy of Nancy.

The series tries to paint him as a ‘bad guy’ for a brief moment and then he’s back to the sweet Steve we know and love. He is just a kid after all. So even the bad things he does are a little excused because he’s a teenager.

It also doesn’t help that Joe does these cute videos with Ben Schwartz where the two of them try to debunk the theory that Steve Harrington is actually Jean-Ralphio’s dad on Parks and Recreation.

This 25-year- old babe seemingly came out of nowhere, just like the rest of the Stranger Things cast of kids and we’re so grateful for that show for bringing him to us! And really, who doesn’t love a video where Joe Keery and Ben Schwartz just mimic each other over and over again? It’s just too fun!
