Taylor Swift’s “Ready For It” was initially believed to be inspired by her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, but was Harry Styles the actual inspiration behind the new track?
According to a new report, the second song off Swift’s upcoming album, Reputation, has caused a stir among her fans, who are doing their best to figure out if “Ready For It” is about her current boyfriend, 26-year-old British actor Joe Alwyn, or her ex-boyfriend, 23-year-old Harry Styles.
“Many fans think that the ‘younger than my exes’ lyric is referencing Joe, who is definitely younger than Tay’s former lovers Calvin Harris, 33, and Tom Hiddleston, 36,” Hollywood Life revealed to readers on September 5. “However, the line could also be about Harry, who was the youngest guy Tay dated after hooking up with John Mayer, 39, and Jake Gyllenhaal, 36.”

In the song, Swift sings, “First time that I saw him / Wonder how many girls he had loved and left haunted / But if he’s a ghost then I can be a phantom.”
As fans may recall, Styles recently released a song titled “Two Ghosts,” which many fans believe was inspired by Swift. In his song, the former One Direction singer sang, “Same lips red, same eyes blue,” and fans were convinced that he was talking about Swift.
