What we want to see from Patty Jenkins’s One Day She’ll Darken

Ever since we all saw Wonder Woman, it has been “in Patty Jenkins we trust.” And rightfully so. So what do we want to see out of her next project?

If you love Patty Jenkins and her work, get ready for her next project. While Wonder Woman 2 is still on her horizon, so is a Black Dahlia-inspired television show that reunites her with Chris Pine once more.

For someone like me, One Day She’ll Darken is everything I could have wanted and more. The show is focused around a woman who was orphaned around the time of the infamous Black Dahlia murder. As she’s investigating her past, she finds herself being connected to that of Dr. George Hodel (who may have played a part in the murder).

So what exactly do I want to see out of this series? Well grizzled photographer Chris Pine rocking grizzled vintage photographer looks and being disgruntled about things. Also flashbacks to the Black Dahlia murder would be appreciated as well.

It is one of Hollywood’s most infamous crimes and it has always, personally, fascinated me. So to have Patty Jenkins take this one is pretty amazing. While we still don’t know much about the series (apart from Patty and Chris), it is still exciting.

I already started campaigning to be an extra because I can tell that this is one show none of us want to miss.

Until we know more about the series, we can just be excited. It’s Patty Jenkins so it is going to be pretty spectacular no matter what. And who doesn’t love a good murder mystery? And one where Chris Pine is in period clothes? Count me in! I’m ready to figure out the Black Dahlia case!
