We love everything and anything Wonder Woman. And now, we have more news on the sequel to try to hold us over until December of 2019!

Wonder Woman 2 cannot come soon enough but apparently there is even some more news on the horizon. Now, we have all heard the rumors. At first, it was modern day. Then it was World War II. Now it seems that all that has changed again.

According to Seventeen magazine, there are three things that we kind of know for sure. I say kind of because none of this is set in stone yet.

"Patty Jenkins appears to be on board to direct, thank god.It takes place in the ’80s—but not the spandex wearing, giant hair ’80s. More like the Cold War, this could be an episode of The Americans, ’80s.Chris Pine might be in it."

First of all, we don’t know if Jenkins is for sure directing. She’s still in negotiations for the movie, though it seems as if she’s set in stone. The ’80s is still a rumor and while Steve Trevor continues to come back in the comics, we don’t know how he’ll come back in the movies. We just know that Chris Pine is signed on for multiple movies.

What Patty has said about the sequel is interesting. Mainly because it shows us the image they have for Diana in future films.

"The most exciting thing about [the sequel] is literally seeing her loose in the world now, living those classic stories. Here’s Wonder Woman, and what can she do? It should be a totally different movie, but a grand and now full-blown Wonder Woman in the world."

So while it isn’t exactly new news, it is still what we can expect to see in the sequel and that’s enough to make our Wonder Woman loving hearts soar.
