Samantha Bee proved her Wonder Woman status again this week with an announcement of timely themed weeks that will help groups in need.
The President of Early Evening Satire has spoken. In a press release posted yesterday on Twitter, Full Frontal host Samantha Bee proclaimed Aug. 21 through Aug. 25 “Nasty Women Week,” calling on Americans to honor the ladies “who work every day in spite of all the b******t”.
The release goes on to say:
"“We are a Nation of women. They are innovators, builders, and farmers, but mostly, they are Nasty. Our administration recognizes that women have put up with too much s**t for too long, so the very least we can do is give them a week.”"
Bee leads by example. Full Frontal is working every day—despite being on summer hiatus. In between finding increasingly creative synonyms for Trump, the wonder woman host has been leading and mobilizing social campaigns.
Just last week, the Emmy-nominated show responded to the tragic events in Charlottesville and the equally horrifying response by President Trump by introducing Many Sides Week:
"“I call upon Americans to pay special tribute to the many, many, many white people who are responsible for the ‘gregarious hatred, bigotry and violence’ coming from their side.”"
But don’t call it a publicity stunt. Proving they can walk the walk, Bee and Co. then helped raise more than $200,000 for Life for Hate, a nonprofit rehabilitating individuals who wish to leave white supremacist movements and recently lost funding under Trump.

According to their Twitter, these are just the first of several Full Frontal theme weeks—and Aunt Sam wants YOU to get out there and #persist.
