Big news, Taylor Swift fans! According to a new report, the 27-year-old singer is planning to release new music to fans in a matter of days.

On August 21, multiple sources revealed to Us Weekly magazine that Swift would be releasing the first single from her upcoming sixth studio album on Friday, August 25.

“The song is poppy,” one of the insiders explained to the magazine, adding that a video for the new song will also be premiering at the end of the week.

As for her new album, Swift has been extremely secretive about her new music in  recent months but a second magazine insider insisted that the album was going to be a “really good one.”

Taylor Swift will reportedly attend the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards

Apparently, Swift isn’t afraid of a potential run-in with longtime nemesis Katy Perry and will attend the awards show, which Perry will host, on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Taylor Swift teased new music online days ago

After mysteriously deleting all of her social media posts and blacking out her official website on Friday, August 18, Swift returned on Monday, August 21, and shared a strange, captionless video clip of what seemed to be a slithering snake.

“She’s aiming to release an album this fall,” a source told Us Weekly in May. “She’s continuing down the pop route because 1989 was a huge success and fans really gravitated toward that album. She knows there’s a demand for a new album and has really started focusing on making that happen for fans. She’s just excited to get back out there.”
