Someone remixed the Thor: Ragnarok trailer with Shrek scenes and it’s amazing

Who knew that the only thing missing in your life and the only thing that could make the Thor: Ragnarok trailer even cooler is Shrek? No, seriously, Shrek.

At this point, we know how quickly videos can go viral and that some things are better when smushed together, like Oreos and PB&J. Furthermore, I think we can all agree that Thor: Ragnarok looks really great. Especially when we consider that Thor’s first movie was a little boring.

Either way, unless you’re Black Panther, it’s a little hard to imagine a trailer that could totally knock Thor: Ragnarok off our radars. Between the music and Chris Hemsworth’s comedic genius, both trailers delivered a new look and feel to the Thor universe.

But apparently, this new look and feel dulls in comparison to a precise fairytale aesthetic. Because if you take the Thor: Ragnarok trailer and add a big, green onion ogre, you end up with a hilarious and strangely accurate depiction of Asgard through the eyes of Shrek.

Below, you’ll find Shrek Ragnarok. Strangely enough, it’s perfect. Check it out:

Uh, so the folks at Darth Blender literally found the perfect scenes across all four films to match the Thor: Ragnarok trailer. Of course, we all know the original Shrek. But are you seriously telling me that these people have seen all four Shrek films enough to know which scenes would fit perfectly where? Even if things are “lightly edited,” which io9 assures us they are, I’m still geeking out. Even as a lukewarm Shrek fan.

The only problem I really have is the comparison that Justin Timberlake’s Arthur is comparable to Thor. Otherwise, everyone feels cast perfectly, even though they shouldn’t really be matching up so easily.

I’m sure as soon as this reaches Chris Hemsworth’s eyes, he’s going to have a ball (a hammer, I mean) with it. But don’t forget the real Ragnarok worth watching hits theaters on Nov. 3, 2017.
