We live in a very political society currently and Elizabeth Olsen has said that it is changing her acting. And really, we love her.
Elizabeth Olsen is now the most talked about Olsen sister. From her role in the Marvel universe to Ingrid Goes West, we all love talking about her! And now, Elizabeth is opening up about her roles and politics with her acting.
The thing about this time in our history is that everyone is talking about politics. Whether you like it or not. Everyone is following what’s happening and sometimes, it affects what we’re supposed to do.
Olsen talked about how on the set of the newest Avengers film, she and her castmates were constantly glued to their phones to follow what is happening.
"“I think we were trying to watch, live-streaming [one of the James Comey hearings]. They are literally saying, ‘Rolling,’ and we were supposed to be dealing with some equipment, and [Don] Cheadle and [Chris] Evans and Scarlett [Johansson] and me and [Paul] Bettany and [Mark] Ruffalo were all like, streaming.”"
Now this isn’t news. Chris Evans is one of the most vocal celebrities on Twitter. But to find that it makes Olsen extremely conscious of the roles she picks is. Elizabeth also talked about how she feels now that it is important to truly portray women in an accurate way.
"“I think you just want to represent women well, period, and I felt that way before the election, and I feel that way now. There’s a new meaning to it now.”"
But really, that isn’t that surprising. Elizabeth has always brought us amazing performances and been an actress we can all openly love and look up to. She’s pretty great, and to hear her saying these things only help make us love her more.
