Brie Larson wants Captain Marvel to battle the Hulk (and so do we)

Marvel’s newest superheroine Captain Marvel should battle the Hulk, according to a new interview with actress Brie Larson.
Academy Award-winning actress Brie Larson is killing it these days. Her latest film, The Glass Castle, based on the memoir by Jeanette Walls, hits theaters this weekend. She’s also one of the latest starts to join Disney/Marvel’s cinematic lineup. Larson will star as Captain Marvel in the 2019 film of the same name.
In a recent interview with USA Today, Larson enthused about her love of puzzles, talked about her upcoming directorial debut, and said she had to really consider it before accepting the Captain Marvel role.
"“The Captain Marvel thing was something I really spent a lot of time thinking about. And eventually I came to the conclusion that being part of a giant feminist film that can be a symbol for people, that was one I wished I would have had, just outweighs some of the small annoyances (of fame). Like, they’re really small in comparison to the good that it can do.”"
Larson also told USA Today that if she could tangle with anyone on-screen, it would have to be the Incredible Hulk. “I do kind of have fantasies of battling The Hulk, just because that’s, like, it’s just visually so good,” she said.
We can picture it. Larson’s tiny but mighty Carol Danvers taking on Bruce Banner when he’s big, green, and mean would be a sight to see. We’re sure she would win, if it came down to it. Hulk’s got a lot of smashing power but Carol has absorption flight. She also has superhuman strength, speed, and stamina. Better watch out, Bruce. We wouldn’t get on Captain Marvel’s bad side.

While it would be great if the Marvel heroes could just stop fighting and get along, we wouldn’t be mad if Larson got her wish. Another fun battle would be Captain Marvel versus Captain America… Did you know Carol Danvers outranks Steve Rogers? There’s so much possibility there.
