1. Jaime Lannister isn’t dead

Okay, I freely admit that there would be some dramatic irony in Jaime Lannister dying by drowning after Dickon Tarly (it looks like Dickon, anyway) saves him from getting burnt to a crisp by an angry, wounded Drogon.

But I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and his pretty face. Not by a long shot. The narrative might have gotten a shocking moment that’ll keep fans guessing, but it would be too easy to send him off that way.

Spoilers:

Jaime and Cersei, per photos from filming, have the opportunity to reunite. Before you think that those photos could come from earlier, it does show snow on the ground. Then again, Kit Harington also confessed to filming scenes just to throw intrepid photo takers off of the scent, as Winter is Coming discussed. This could be one of them. Or Cersei is just hallucinating Jaime.

However, that big fat spoiler set we’ve talked about also mentions Jaime as a physical presence (that is, not a ghost tormenting Cersei) in episodes beyond “The Spoils of War,” which means that the odds are good that he’s alive, folks.

Spoilers end.

Episode 5 of Game of Thrones season 7 is probably going to be just as bonkers as episode 4 was. Hold on, everyone.
