Game of Thrones soared into the second half of season 7 on the back of a fire-breathing dragon Sunday night. Here are 5 stunning moments we won’t forget from “The Spoils of War.”

Sunday night’s episode of Game of Thrones was slow but satisfying. At least, the beginning was slow. The action definitely cranked up by the episode’s end. And in between there were plenty of major plot developments: some we’d been waiting seasons for, others we didn’t see coming.

It’s unclear at this point whether this week’s HBO hack and subsequent leak of episode 4 days before it was officially set to air impacting the show’s ratings at all, but the episode certainly garnered plenty of buzz on social media. We’re more than halfway through the season now, so things are really building, character-arc and story-wise. The episode’s action and next week’s preview hinted at more drama unfolding in the episodes to come like a potential Meera Reed comeback and a lot more dragon stuff, which equals a lot more surprises in store for fans.
