Food Network Star season 13, episode 9: Watch online
The Food Network Star finalists still must prove themselves to the judges. But can they score with a game-day dish?
With just four finalist left, will a big shake up happen this week? Food Network Star fans weren’t too pleased with the results from last week. But, one clear fan favorite is still in the running. But, can anyone come from behind and score a victory? Game time dishes are one of the themes this week.
Are the finalists ready for the big game? Here’s this week’s synopsis.
"The four remaining finalists try their hand at reporting live on location by visiting popular food trucks while Giada De Laurentiis, Bobby Flay and special guest Sabin Lomac watch from the studio. Then, it’s time for each finalist to partake in their own segment of a special called “Up Your Game (Day),” performing a demo of a special game-day dish while also tackling surprises along the way. ESPN’s Jemele Hill and special guest Jaymee Sire watch the special with Bobby and Giada to help decide which finalist goes down in defeat."
While I haven’t seen the episode, I bet that a few of the following will happen.
The live reporting segment will probably cause Amy to stumble, say something inappropriate or otherwise put her foot in her mouth. Like many other fans, I don’t understand why she is still in the running. Maybe the Food Network really wants a stay at home mom on their roster.
Matthew will probably be over the top annoying in his segments. His Southwestern cuisine lends itself to a game-day dish. But, he doesn’t seem like the guy who is out tailgating with his buddies before the game. But, maybe I’m wrong.
Jason should do well in these challenges. Both his personal skills and his cooking style should fit into these challenges. I’m guessing that his game-day dish will feature some bacon. Who doesn’t love bacon?
Rusty could win both of these challenges. He’s the guy that you want to be his friend. I can totally see Rusty hanging with the guys drinking beer before a game. I bet there’s some big Louisiana style dish that is perfect big game food.
