Book a trip to Walt Disney World, D23 Expo announcements make for magical memories

AT D23 EXPO 2017, DISNEY PARKS CHAIRMAN BOB CHAPEK ANNOUNCES DISNEY SKYLINER COMING TO WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT — A whole new transportation system called Disney Skyliner will give guests a birds-eye view of Walt Disney World Resort.

Disney transportation changes

One of the biggest complaints at Disney World Resorts is transportation. The buses tend to run slow and become overcrowded. Going from a hotel to a park seems like a century. One trick some people used was Uber. The ride sharing service could get you in between Disney areas more quickly. Since Disney would prefer to keep transportation under the Mouse, the new transportation changes should help with the issues.

The Minnie Van service will offer “point-to-point” transportation. Starting next month, guests can quickly travel throughout the Disney property more easily. Minnie pink and polka dots decorate each of the vans.

The transportation adds to the Disney fun. Who wouldn’t want to ride in a Minnie van? The cost wasn’t specified. Like anything at Disney, you might have to pay a little extra for the special service.

The biggest visual change to the Disney World Resort landscape will be the gondola system. Called the Disney Skyliner, the new transportation system will offer a view of the resorts from the sky. According to reports, the skyliner “will connect Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century and Caribbean Beach resorts, as well as the proposed new Disney Riviera Resort, with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot.” The anticipated completion date has not been specified.
