Does anyone really like grocery shopping? On this week’s Food Network Star, the finalists share shopping tips and kitchen hacks.
Unless you have a personal shopper, weekly, or sometimes daily food shopping trips are necessary. The struggle to find something appetizing for dinner is real. Kids want the same foods, husbands want different food, and moms want something healthy. Balancing it all can be a thankless task. On this week’s Food Network Star, the finalists share shopping tips and kitchen hacks.
One reason to watch channels, like Food Network, is to find creative ideas for home cooking. Anyone who has aimlessly roamed grocery store aisles can feel stuck in a food rut. Plus, with budget concerns, the home cook can almost want to give up and grab some fast food. Hopefully on this week’s episode, the remaining finalists can serve up some amazing tips and inspiration.
According to the Food Network, this episode’s synopsis states:
"“First, the finalists pair up and take on a typical shopping budget problem while creating an Instagram Story about their shopping trip, with special guest Hannah Hart helping Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay judge their efforts. Then it’s time for Sunny Anderson to hit the Food Network Star kitchen, bringing several of her favorite problem-solving segments from The Kitchen for the finalists to perform in front of a studio audience.”"
My prediction for this episode is that Amy will shine. The stay at home mom/food blogger should have an edge on shopping budgets and kitchen hacks. What mom can’t turn a leftover into a good meal?
I wonder if Cory or Addie will do well in a shopping budget problem. After Cory spent over $200 on caviar in one episode, the professional chef may not be best suited for budgetary restraints. Addie often comes across too perfect. I don’t see her using coupons to budget on weekly shopping trips.
Of course, I can’t wait to hear Jason’s phrase of the week. He is truly one of the best parts of this show. If he doesn’t make it to the end of the season, Food Network might lose a lot of fans.
