Twin Peaks – May 21
Starring: Kyle Maclachlan, Madchen Amick, Sherilyn Fenn, Laura Dern, Ashley Judd, Tim Roth, Naomi Watts and Robert Forster
Premise: This newest installment of the Twin Peaks franchise takes on the weird Pacific Northwest town 25 years after the murder of Laura Palmer. The show and the network have been pretty tight-lipped about the reboot’s content, but it’s promising to be the most exciting new show of the season.

Showtime is teaming up with original producers David Lynch and Mark Frost, so the new series promises to have the same gothic, stylized feel than the old show. It maintains the eccentricty and wit of the original, but with a modern update.
The buzz: Everybody is so excited about this. It’s being considered a major television event, and folks are losing their minds. Since Showtime hasn’t released any screeners for the 18 episodes, there’s not a lot of concrete reviews to be had. However, the excitement over this venture has the TV universe practically squeeing with excitement.
Where to watch: The new season debuts on Showtime May 21. Catch up on seasons 1-2 on Netflix, Hulu, or Showtime Anytime.
