Jimmy Fallon regrets what has happened since his Trump interview

When Jimmy Fallon interviewed Trump, he got a lot of flack from the media and he has since come to regret it but should he really?

In an interview with The New York Times, Jimmy Fallon reflects on the dip in his fame after his Donald Trump debacle. The debacle in question? Well, Jimmy decided to humanize Donald Trump in a way that made a lot of people uncomfortable.

Here is the thing about the whole Jimmy Fallon situation: Fallon was never the overtly political one. On Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live, Fallon was paired with Tina Fey. Fey was the one who tackled a lot of the political issues happening in the world.

But now Jimmy has gotten a bad rap because his audience has since sought out more political commentary. What’s not fair is that people assume that Fallon would have to change his outlook and personality to fit the changing times.

But that’s never been Jimmy. And frankly, I personally would hate it if he started to take on more of Seth Meyers’ qualities. That’s why they are two separate shows.

And Jimmy feels the same way. He shouldn’t have to change what makes him enjoyable just because of what is happening in the world. To be honest, it’s a nice reprieve to know we can always count on Jimmy Fallon to have a more lighthearted take on things.

"I don’t want to be bullied into not being me, and not doing what I think is funny. Just because some people bash me on Twitter, it’s not going to change my humor or my show."
