Ari Gold – Entourage

When you live in Hollywood and are surrounded by mostly fake, terrible people, it’s bound to rub off on you. It’s still up in the air whether or not Ari was the one doing the rubbing or the getting rubbed. Never one to be patient or understanding, there was one thing he was good at: looking the part.

He could turn on the charm for as long as it took to get the deal done, and part of that persona was a nice and expensive suit. He was also pretty vain, so he needed everyone to acknowledge how successful and accomplished he was. Part of that vanity was how he looked. He wanted everything in his life to live up to a certain status, and he would do anything to maintain that.

Even the car he drove was ridiculously excessive. He needed everyone to validate his existence, and he used fancy things to get there. The funny thing is, he really didn’t need to prove his worth so much. He was a Harvard graduate with an MBA from Michigan. He ran one of the most successful talent agencies in the country, and he guided Vinny on to be a huge movie star.

It just goes to show you that you can’t be fooled by a good-looking suit or fancy car. Everybody has their own issues.
