It’s hard to imagine Hillary Duff as anything but the accomplished, beautiful, graceful woman she is today. But once upon a time, she was a Disney Channel star who wore loud colors, crazy hair, and had a cartoon alter-ego.

Always armed with a bright smile and an earnest attitude, Lizzie took chances when it comes to dressing. At any given moment, she may have had no less than 20 accessories on at a time, and her hair often pointed in more than 3 directions. Brokering in bright colors and fun patterns, Lizzie didn’t mind being noticed. In fact, she preferred it, but it often didn’t go her way.

You couldn’t have been a tween girl in the early ’00s without garnering some influence from Lizzie. Whether it was the stacked wedges, midriff-baring shirts, or the stacks and stacks of bracelets, everybody wanted to look a little like Lizzie.

She may have been a little more courageous with her style choices that most girls, but you have to admire the grit it took to wear all the trends at once.
