Well, it’s finally here! The first Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer. And yes, it’s exciting, and yes, it’s everything you wanted from a Star Wars trailer.
If it feels like you’ve been waiting ages for a Last Jedi trailer, it’s probably because it’s been more than a hot minute since The Last Jedi news stole some headlines. The reality is that we’ve been waiting for this trailer everyday since the first time we saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I don’t know what it was like in the ’70s, but this was the first time I actually had to wait for the next Star Wars movie. And can I just say, this sucks a lot.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opened in theaters in December 2015 and left fans a little divided, a little speechless, and definitely filled with a million and one questions. Where has Luke been? Why did he leave a map? Why did the Resistance send Rey? Why did Kylo Ren say ‘it is you’ to her? What’s the deal with Reylo? What’s going to happen with General Leia? Who are the Last Jedi? What is BB-8 doing? Is BB-8 happy? Are Poe and Finn going to get married? Where’s Jyn Erso?
I mean, you can see how the wait might kill someone.
But everybody can chill now because it’s finally here. We pretty much all guessed that Star Wars was going to hold the goods until April. More specifically, that a teaser trailer would kick off the celebration in Orlando at Star Wars Celebration.
Of course, all your faves are here, with the exception of Han Solo, who was not-so-surprisingly killed off The Force Awakens.
Check out the trailer and the panel below and prepare to get hyped all over again. Also, spoiler alert: Rey is there.
