5. An Attack on the Resistance?

Yes, that’s Poe Dameron himself shielding his face from an X-Wing in the process of blowing up, with BB-8 looking on in concern. Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t provide any context about when this might happen.

It seems safe to guess that the First Order is behind it, though. Some retaliation for the destruction of Starkiller Base is in order (pun intended), don’t you think?

However, it may happen relatively early in the film. We don’t see much of Leia in the trailer, but we do see her from the back, standing in front of a holo-projection. It’s just that her surroundings look very different from those of the base on D’Qar from The Force Awakens. On the whole, they’re much brighter. That suggests that, like the Rebel Alliance, they’ll need to move again. Perhaps it’ll all be prompted by a move similar to the Battle of Hoth.

On a second note, perhaps Kylo Ren will step into his grandfather’s shoes again and personally lead an attack, maybe even getting a chance to talk to his mother. Unfortunately, Adam Driver didn’t attend The Last Jedi panel, but hey, at least his wish for there not to be a trailer at all didn’t come true.
