Not All Star Wars Celebration Orlando Items are Exclusive to the Celebration
Star Wars Celebration Orlando is a haven for finding collectible items and exclusives, but this backpack set from Loungefly is available online.
Star Wars Celebration Orlando kicked off yesterday with, among other things, a video tribute to Carrie Fisher. But aside from fresh information and fresh ways to make us all ugly cry, a big part of the Celebration is the merch, which tends to be exclusive. However, not all brands will deprive those of us who aren’t currently there from buying a piece of the convention from far, far away (pun intended).
For example, Fashionably Geek has found this listing from Loungefly. Check out this backpack set:
It may come as no surprise that the backpack has a retro feel to it. After all, in case you haven’t heard, A New Hope is 40 years old this year. That certainly explains the ’70s style fonts, doesn’t it? However, though the backpack is clearly the star of the show, it is a set. So what else can you pick up?
On the left, you can see three buttons. Zooming in shows that one says “Darth Vader lives” in front of the Sith Lord’s helmet. On the bottom, a silver Star Wars logo is just above the phrase “May the Force be with you,” also in silver. In the middle may be the coolest button, though: it’s of Princess Leia, holding her blaster.
On the right of the backpack in the image is a small pouch. It appears to have a slightly different pattern than the backpack, but the collage and ’70s-esque styling is quite similar.
Although there aren’t many of these backpacks available, you may want to check Loungefly’s website. Granted, this set may not be tickets to the Celebration … but it is cheaper than tickets to the Celebration. Things balance out like that.
