Daisy Ridley

Since her debut in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Daisy Ridley has been my go-to actress for everything. Even if you didn’t like the movie, you can’t say that she wasn’t a fabulous and charismatic heroine and marvelous addition to the Star Wars franchise.

When Tomb Raider talks sprang up, rumors swirled that Ridley was a front runner to play Lara Croft in the new franchise. Ultimately, the role went to Alicia Vikander, but that’s okay. That just means that Ridley’s available for bigger and better things. Instead, she can join the DCEU (or at least, Whedon’s part of the DCEU) and play Batgirl. Some may say there’s a conflict of interest if Ridley becomes known for playing both Batgirl and Rey. But Harrison Ford played several iconic characters.

And, I’m sorry, but I’m going to say it.

Batgirl’s cooler than Indiana Jones.

Of course, Ridley’s branched out into other things and has gotten plenty of work between Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. But is it too much to ask to see her wear some sort of spandex suit standing next to the Batman or maybe even Nightwing? Is it?
