Daisy Ridley
Since her debut in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Daisy Ridley has been my go-to actress for everything. Even if you didnât like the movie, you canât say that she wasnât a fabulous and charismatic heroine and marvelous addition to the Star Wars franchise.
When Tomb Raider talks sprang up, rumors swirled that Ridley was a front runner to play Lara Croft in the new franchise. Ultimately, the role went to Alicia Vikander, but thatâs okay. That just means that Ridleyâs available for bigger and better things. Instead, she can join the DCEU (or at least, Whedonâs part of the DCEU) and play Batgirl. Some may say thereâs a conflict of interest if Ridley becomes known for playing both Batgirl and Rey. But Harrison Ford played several iconic characters.
And, Iâm sorry, but Iâm going to say it.
Batgirlâs cooler than Indiana Jones.
Of course, Ridleyâs branched out into other things and has gotten plenty of work between Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. But is it too much to ask to see her wear some sort of spandex suit standing next to the Batman or maybe even Nightwing? Is it?
