Cookie and Lucious

As much as I root for these two, I certainly wouldn’t want to get caught between them. Not only do they unleash constant and vicious verbal attacks, these two have been known to go at each other physically. I mean… it’s nothing for either of them to get slapped, grabbed, or just plain roughed up. They are not great for each other, nor have they been for a very long time. The threat of physical danger is never a healthy element to a relationship.

That’s not even mentioning the cheating, betrayals, lying, and back stabbing that is just built into the infrastructure of their relationship. Their passion is tightly wrapped around their rage and contempt for each other, and half the time you can’t tell if they’re totally in love or just detest each other totally.

Once upon a time, before Cookie went to jail and Lucious stole her company, these two were the picture of adoration. They may have been poor, but their family was a safe space for both of them to land. But, as it tends to do, life and time get in the way and destroy the good things, and now we’re left to reconcile our feelings about what is obviously a very abusive relationship.
