Angela and Jordan Catalano

Even calling this thing between Angela and Jordan a relationship is a stretch. She mostly pined for him, loved him unrequited, and stared at him from across the hall. When finally did look in her direction, it was only to use her and make her feel like crap for all those wasted feelings.

This poor girl spent more time crushing on this guy from afar than she did doing homework and complaining to her friends combined. Angela was so deep in her feeling for Jordan, that she just couldn’t see what a giant toolbag he turned out to be.

He was so flip about her feelings, so into his own experience, and so uncaring about the depth of hers, that he destroyed her heart and just stepped over it on the way out. He was so clueless about how to treat Angela, he actually got another guy to write his apology letter. And the guy he got to write the heartfelt letter had actually feelings for her.

Unfortunately, we only got one season of My So Called Life, so Angela never got a chance to outgrow Jordan Catalano and get over that devastating way he tucked his hair behind his ear. She never got a real boyfriend who loved her and treated her nicely, and she never got revenge on Jordan for being such a jerk. Bummer.
