1. She’s fearless

Picture this: you’re alone in a strange land, taken prisoner by people who would rather treat you as a joke, or worse, a veritable slave. This is what happened to Dany in Season 6 when she was taken to Vaes Dothrak. But of course, we all know a life of solitude just isn’t for the Dragon Queen.

Dany is the kind of woman who takes problems into her own hands and faces them head on. We’ve rarely seen her show fear. Maybe there were a few times when she was still finding her legs as Khaleesi, but she learned pretty quickly to stand firm and not let people push her around. Those who do have a funny way of getting exactly what’s coming to them. Take for example the roomful of Khals who berated her at the khalar vezhven. Dany knew she could lead better of them, and she simply replies “So I will.”

Cue her pushing over the braziers, igniting the temple and putting an end to the male-led khalasar. Of course, a dragon cannot be burned, so this was a pretty safe bet for her. But it takes a lot of chutzpah to walk into a roomful of men who are threatening you with rape and death, simply to flaunt a power they could only dream of harnessing. Dany’s fearlessness has made her a conqueror, and even if she doesn’t get a full seat on the Iron Throne right away, she’s made a ton of headway and garnered respect as a leader, something the current Queen of the Andals is sure to have trouble with.
