25 reasons we want Daenerys Targaryen to sit on the Iron Throne

Game of Thrones has no problem throwing a wrench in traditional gender roles. Women are just as capable as men to fight, scheme, battle, and ultimately rule. Right now, the dreaded Queen Cersei I Lannister sits her privileged butt on the Iron Throne, but that reign could come to a bitter and bloody end now that Daenerys Targaryen is sailing across the Narrow Sea. Frankly, that sounds like the best case scenario for us.

While Jon Snow may have a bit more of a claimant to the throne at this point, we think it would be in Westeros’ best interest to have someone strong at the helm, but with a bit of a softer touch. No, we’re not saying Dany is soft by any means, but there’s several reasons as to why we think the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea can usher in a new era of peace and prosperity for the Seven Kingdoms. That is, if the White Walkers don’t overtake it first.

We’ve given you 25 reasons as to why both Sansa and Arya are kickass ladies, but they are Starks. That’s a house that’s unfortunately on its last legs, but getting stronger with each passing day. And to be frank, the Starks fare better up North. Daenerys and her vast army is ready to hit King’s Landing in the best way (we hope) and we think she’s the one who will wield her power in the most righteous way.
