Get Your “Guardians of the Galaxy” Dose with a Double Feature
If you love “Guardians of the Galaxy,” you can have your full dose of the galaxy’s best a-holes with a double feature this May
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 comes out on May 5 (also my birthday). And if you’re as excited as I am, then you’re probably already gearing up to watch the first installment before you rush to theaters to see the sequel.
But wait! James Gunn may have just saved you the effort of streaming the movie or putting that blu-ray into your player!
That’s right, he announced via his Facebook page that this coming May 4th, you can watch Guardians of the Galaxy in theaters and then not even have to leave your seat to see the sequel!
It’s a fun concept, and not a new one. Remember a couple years ago when Marvel did the entire “Phase One” feature? This one is much shorter since it only encompasses two movies.
Check out the post below, because there’s some fun stuff attached to it:

So if you’re in attendance, you automatically get a collectible poster and pin, which is pretty cool. Of course, the double feature is only at select cinemas… aka probably bigger locations, like the AMC 30 in my general area. Or larger metropolises.
Basically if you need a huge dose of Groot in both adult and baby forms, Marvel has you covered this May. Just be sure to bring your own stock of candy because that stuff gets pretty expensive at the theaters.
And don’t forget, as always, that there’s more than likely a post-credits scene. Be a good person and if anyone around you gets up as the credits start to roll, politely tell them to sit the fudge back down. There’s important stuff at the end.
