“All in the Family” – Royal Pains

Pretty much every single episode of Royal Pains makes me want to pack up and move to warmer climates, specifically the Hamptons. All those outdoor parties, posh beach picnics, and celebrities make me long for the life of a concierge doctor and his ambitious, brown-nosing brother.

Hank Lawson is the concierge doctor in question. Those of us under a certain tax bracket have no idea that such a thing exists, but if you’re super wealthy, you can actually have a doctor who comes to you and treats you like a human. For real.

Hank is the namesake and lead physician for HankMed in the super posh, lux beach town Hamptons. He dashes around town, saving lives, being charming, and making all the vacationing ladies swoon. It’s super handy that he got thrown out of his New York hospital because the Hamptons really needed him. For a small little town like this, you’d be surprised how many exotic diseases, emergency beach-surgeries, and rare conditions he has to contend with.

This episode is just a cross sampling of all the things that make Royal Pains (and being on vacation permanently) so awesome. It’s not that serious, everybody looks fabulous, and there is never any shortage of pretty folks wearing skimpy swimsuits.
