Haven’t gotten the opportunity to try Butterbeer from the Wizarding World in Universal Studios? Now you might not have to leave your town to do so.

Have you wondered what Butterbeer taste like but you haven’t made it out to the Universal Studios Harry Potter theme park? Now you’ll have the opportunity without having to go too far away from home. A Pennsylvania ice cream company called Yuengling has announced their latest creation, Butterbeer ice cream. The company describes the ice cream as half buttercream ice cream, half butterscotch ice cream, with a butterscotch swirl through the ice cream. It’s unknown if Yuengling has the blessing of J.K. Rowling or Universal Studios to name the ice cream Butterbeer but it sound exciting. You can tell from the press release from the president of Yuengling he has enormous respect for J.K. Rowling.

"“We are always looking for ways to inspire our fans and spark creativity. Whether it’s our flavor names and descriptions or the recipes themselves—we’re in the business of having fun,” said David Yuengling, President of Yuengling’s Ice Cream. “We hope we made J.K. Rowling proud with this flavor.”"

Butterbeer won’t be available for purchase until September 2017. Ice cream from Yuengling is currently available in pints, but will later carry quart size is in local supermarkets. You can go to their website and see if any supermarkets in your area carry Yuengling ice cream. If they don’t, don’t despair. On their website, there’s a section for a customer to request the ice cream in their supermarkets. It probably wouldn’t hurt to pester your local store manager to see if they will order it for you.
