Girls Livestream: Season 6, Episode 6 – Watch Online

Girls is back on HBO for its sixth and final season.  Here’s what you need to know to watch tonight’s episode online.

The world of Girls has gone full-tilt crazy this season. With recent episodes featuring a death, an addiction, and a pregnancy, the once carefree adventures of Hannah and Co. are no more. And I’m loving it. The show is still funny, still relatable, and a whole lot more grown-up — just like its audience.

We left our heroes at a vulnerable moment in last week’s episode “Gummies.”  Hannah had just had a knock-down, drag-out fight with Elijah about her impending motherhood in the kitchen of a Chinese restaurant. Jessa’s jealousy and possessiveness had started to flare up when Adam’s movie featured real loving moments between his and Hannah’s characters. And Ray had just dumped Marnie due to her unbearable self-absorption in the wake of his grief. So, where are we to go from here?

Well, according to HBO, probably onward. The network released this description of tonight’s episode, titled “Full Disclosure,” via a press release:

"Marnie (Allison Williams) tries to convince a resistant Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) to follow through with their planned gig at her mom’s birthday party in New Jersey. After rebuffing Adam’s (Adam Driver) request to watch his film, Hannah (Lena Dunham) gets advice on an important decision from her dad (Peter Scolari) and his new partner, Keith (Ethan Phillips). Elijah’s (Andrew Rannells) thespian talents are rekindled when he helps a coworker run lines for an audition."

The ongoing new dynamic between Marnie and Desi will be interesting to follow this season. When they last interacted, we saw them struggle in couples therapy. But though a real-life Desi would be unbearable, I can’t get enough of Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s committed and hilarious portrayal. I’m also super excited to catch up with Peter Scolari as Hannah’s dad. He’s been absent from this season, ostensibly sowing his wild oats. It’ll be fun to see how he’s settling into out gay life.

But this new Elijah storyline sounds most interesting. His fight with Hannah showed us just how devastated and hurt he is by his friends’ growth. But it looks like he’s starting to re-discover his calling. Hopefully, Elijah will find a way to move forward with his life. You know. Like the Kinky Boots guy.
