New FUNKO Pop! for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Has Been Announced

Funko and Star Wars: Rogue One fans should be pretty excited that a new Pop! the figurine is in development. The long-awaited Bodhi Rook can soon be yours.

The team over at Funko has a pretty spectacular Star Wars Pop! Vinyl collection. It has over 50 Star Wars themed figurines, and ten of them are Star Wars: Rogue One. If you look closely, you’ll notice the collection is missing one key character from Rogue One. That character is of cargo pilot, Bodhi Rook.

For many fans of Rogue One, this was a huge oversight on the part of Funko. Thankfully, the company is looking to correct its mistake. Last night the Funko Twitter account held an impromptu Q and A session for fans. One of the questions the company asked was if there were any Rogue One Pops fans wanted.

Almost immediately a fan wrote back asking for Bodhi Rook. Funko quickly responded back with the key artwork of the Bodhi Rook figurine. Almost immediately fans started freaking out.

Fans of the movie have been trying in earnest to inform Star Wars: Rogue One actor, Riz Ahmed that he is being made in Pop form.  I’m sure he will be excited to hear his character will be added to the collection. Unfortunately, with the key are we didn’t get a due date for when we could expect the Bodhi Rook Pop. Fans are hopeful for a summer 2017 release. Seeing at Rogue One was a one-off movie it’s nice to see they didn’t just forget one of the heroes of the film.
