Seth Meyers vs Stephen Colbert: Pre-Tax Returns News

facebooktwitterreddit

Once again Stephen Colbert and Seth Meyers were off and running with the news last night, they just had already recorded when the tax return news came out.

As has come to be our norm, Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert took on Trump with their opening monologues. Each took their take on one of Trump’s cabinet members and left us with a sense of dread for where our country is heading.

No really, the way each spoke about the actual members of his cabinet make Steve King and Rex Tillerson seem as if they are fictional villains. Unfortunately they are very real and have very real power in our country.

With Seth, he took on Steve King and Sean Spicer. Spicer apparently was accosted in an Apple store and Seth made the lovely joke of him clearly not being at the Genius bar.

But then Seth went on to Steve King. For those who don’t know, this racist man tweeted about how our country isn’t made better by babies from other countries and was backed up by the former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.

And if that wasn’t enough to make you dislike him, he’s been pretty rude to people on Twitter. So Seth took a “Couple Things” segment to take down Steve.

Stephen did it a little differently. He did his monologue as Rex Tillerson after taking on Paul Ryan and his new American Health Care Act. For those who don’t know, 12 million people are going to lose their health care coverage with it.

But that’s not all, many are calling out Ryan for his past comments on Trump and what he’s doing now.

Again, please watch both these men. They’re doing something amazing in taking on Trump and we need to support them.
