If you’re a BB-8 fan, you now have some sneaker options, but since BB-8 is pretty great, Star Wars fans should be pleased.
There really is a lot to love about Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Not only does it include Rey, Poe, and Finn, it even turns the droid pair we know and love into a trio. Yes, we’re talking about BB-8. The little droid has turned into one of the most common characters to be found across the world of Star Wars merchandise, and now, we can add shoes to that list.
Check out the following from Po-Zu on Instagram, with an additional tip of the hat to The Kessel Runway:
Again, it appears that Po-Zu has opted for relatively subtle details over slapping BB-8’s face on a sneaker and calling it a day. Per the company’s blog, there’s just that droid badge on the side. From far away, people might not even be able to recognize that it’s meant as a representation of BB-8.
We saw this earlier with the Resistance sneakers. They only use the emblem of the Rebel Alliance and the succeeding Resistance. They’re from the same collection, so that makes perfect sense.
Of course, it wouldn’t make any sense to stray from the orange and white scheme, either. Some things should be left alone.
Hopefully, the little droid will continue to feature in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. After all, is it really a Star Wars movie without at least one droid comedy moment? One would suggest the answer is no. Even Rogue One put in a droid. It’s practically required.
Of course, one wonders whether or not there will be any more thumbs-up moments as in The Force Awakens. All we know for sure is what’s been seen in the footage that came out last week … and there’s not much in the way of BB-8 to be mentioned.

Per Po-Zu’s blog, these shoes will arrive on the scene in August.
