Emma Watson’s The Circle to Premiere at Tribeca Film Festival

The Emma Watson lead movie The Circle will be heading over to the Tribeca Film Festival ahead of its April premiere.

The Emma Watson sci-fi thriller The Circle has been selected to debut in a gala screening at Tribeca Film Festival. The movie was originally slated to premiere April 28 but could not pass up the honor of being invited to the Film Festival. It’s unknown if Emma Watson will make her appearance at the Tribeca Film Festival in support of The Circle.  She’s currently on a worldwide promotional tour the live action Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast.

The film The Circle is based on the novel of David Eggars and stars Emma Watson. It follows Mae Holland (Watson), a very ambitious young woman who is hired to work for the world’s largest and most influential tech and social media company called The Circle. Eamon Bailey who is played by Tom Hanks is founder and head of The Circle and has a keen eye for talent. He pushes Holland’s bounds of privacy, ethics and ultimately her personal freedom. Her once dream job becomes her nightmare. Also starring in the film is Tom Hanks, John Boyega, Karen Gillan and recently departed Bill Paxton. This was Bill Paxton’s last movie he shot before his passing.

The Circle is also in excellent company at the film festival. Also, hosting gala screens is Sean Diddy Combs documentary about his music label Bad Boy Entertainment, Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: The Bad Boy Story, and a New York sports radio hosts film called Mike and the Mad Dog.

The Tribeca Film Festival starts April 19 until 30th. Here is the full list of galas and special screenings.
