15. Jim Norton: Mouthful of Shame

Coming to Netflix: March 14th, 2017

Don’t let the fact that this is first on the list of the 15 Netflix comedy specials we highly recommend lead you to think this isn’t funny, because Jim Norton is hilarious. He first got his start on The Opie and Anthony Show, where he was the so-called “third mic,” yet still was an important part of the show. He now has a series of self-deprecating books out – including this writer’s personal favorite, “I Hate Your Guts” – and is the co-host of the UFC Unfiltered Podcast and the Sirius XM morning show, The Jim Norton and Sam Roberts Morning Show. Moreover, he has contributed nearly a dozen stories to Time Magazine, and has a recurring role on the hit Starz show Power.

Part of what makes Jim Norton so endearing is that he doesn’t reserve his schlubiness to just one thing – no one is safe, including himself. And since he can laugh at himself the most – and treats everything and everyone with equal disdain – the result is a scathing, unapologetically raw comedian that will leave you rolling in the aisles with every word. Whether he’s insulting the President, trolling the NYC subway system, or joshing for a picture with his favorite celebrity du jour, Jim Norton’s Mouthful of Shame will be sure to win over even the staunchest comedy skeptic.
