It’s hard to imagine DJ Tanner with anyone but her high school sweetheart Steve Hale. That was until Matt Harmon, the dreamy veterinarian, came into the picture. Between his caring nature and his incredible work ethic, Matt the vet is definitely a threat. But Steve and DJ are perfect, and there’s another wonderful lady for Matt over on Freeform’s Young & Hungry named Sofia Rodriguez. She’s even in the same city, so it’s possible they might have unknowingly crossed paths already.
One thing Sofia has made clear is that she needs a man with ambition. Dating a guy who wears a sandwich costume for a living wasn’t going to cut it. Matt, on the other hand, has a steady job that he loves. Prior to moving to San Francisco, he owned his own veterinary clinic. Now he co-owns Harmon-Fuller Clinic in California. He’s clearly a hard worker who would keep up with Sofia’s drive.
Sofia is as fun-loving as Matt, and without any kids of her own, the two would have plenty of exciting adventures. Sofia has a playful maturity about her, much like DJ Tanner. But unlike DJ, Sofia wouldn’t make Matt wait around while she thinks on pursuing her ex. No, Sofia Maria Consuela Rafaella Rodriguez knows what she wants and she goes for it.
