4. Lady Stoneheart

Those who read the Song of Ice and Fire series were waiting for the return of Lady Stoneheart, because she was due to return around the same time of Jon Snow. However, according to the latest Game of Thrones theories, the reason she hadn’t returned was because the Powers That Be wanted Jon Snow’s resurrection to be the most memorable thing about the season (and it worked, beautifully).

That, however, leaves the fate of Lady Stoneheart up in the air: is she leading the Brotherhood Without Banners? Is she coming back at all? Does she want to avenge her murder, and the murder of her son and grandchild?

This theory about Lady Stoneheart is also interesting because it begs the question of Michelle Fairley, the actress who played Lady Catelyn Stark. Currently, she’s working on The White Princess, the upcoming show on the Starz network. It should be interesting to see if her contract with The White Princess allows for her to return to Game of Thrones on HBO, or if Game of Thrones gets a whole new actress altogether.
