Seth Meyers vs Stephen Colbert: Jeff Sessions and Russia

The competition between Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert rages on as they both covered the controversy with Jeff Sessions and Russia.

Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert seem to continue to go head to head on Trump information. The two are always commenting on the same things anymore. Maybe that’s because our country is going crazy and people are trying to find someone who is indifferent to look at the connections between Trump and Russia so they can really get a sense of what is happening.

For those who don’t know, a leak about Jeff Sessions talking to Russia during the Trump campaign was released and he recused himself from the investigations. Many want him to resign but of course no one is calling it treason.

So obviously our two favorite men took a stab and what is happening in the news.

Seth did his usual bit. He explained what was going on with Trump’s administration after the news of Jeff Sessions’s involvement with Russia and how he openly lied during in confirmation hearing.

Stephen took on Jeff by pointing out that he lied for no reason. The question that appeared in the hearing was simple, but Jeff decided to point out that he had no connection with Russia. Which is now funny since he talked to Russia.

The thing is that both made the same joke. They took a “honey, I didn’t sleep with her as your husband” approach to Jeff’s reasoning. But hey, when the Trump campaign makes the jokes that simple, of course there will be some repeats from both Colbert and Meyers.

Again, keep watching both men. They’re doing an amazing job of giving us the news and we really need to keep their voices alive.
