Here is the First Trailer for Netflix’s Dark Comedy War Machine Staring Brad Pitt

Movie star Brad Pitt is back doing what he knows best, and he’s looking oh so good in the Netflix movie trailer War Machine.

So far, Brad Pitt’s year is off to a good start. Pitt’s production company Plan-B just won an Oscar for Best Picture for Moonlight. Now he’s starting a new movie coming out on Netflix.

War Machine is Pitt’s newest project for the streaming service and is also produced by his production company Plan-B. Pitt’s War Machine is being billed as a dark comedy about the war in Afghanistan. The focus of the film is the rise and fall of former Commander, U.S. Forces in Afghanistan, General Stanley McChrystal.

Brad Pitt plays the larger than life yet brazen McChrystal in War Machine. Also in the movie also stars Tilda Swinton (Doctor Strange), Ben Kingsley (The Jungle Book) and Topher Grace (Spider-Man). With this many stars assembled, you would think this movie was going to be in theaters.

Take a look at the teaser trailer for War Machine below.

Brad Pitt comes in late in the 45-second trailer, but his appearance is startling. He’s been known to go a little gray if a role requires it, but this is an entirely different look from him. For the Netflix movie War Machine, dare we say Pitt is looking, Clooney-esk? I think we could, and I think it’s a great look on him. Seeing A-list stars and Hollywood level films on Netflix is becoming commonplace. With Amazon’s Manchester by the Sea Oscar nominations it’s a safe bet we will be more Oscar-caliber films on more streaming services.

The streaming service, Netflix releases War Machine like a heat seeking missile on all of us on May 26.
