This Is Us had an incredible episode last week and left fans wanting more. Is it returning tonight or will we have to wait a week?
If you were looking forward to a new episode of the NBC show, This Is Us this week we have some bad news. Variety is reporting the sob-inducing hit television show will not air tonight due to President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session.
For fans of the show, this means you’re tissues are going to get a break this week. The hit show won’t be back until March 7. This also pushes back the season finale of the show to March 14. This schedule shake-up has wrecked havoc over at the peacock network. This is also going to delay its new show starring John Lithgow in Sherri Shepherd called Trial & Error. The Lithgow led show was slated to premiere March 7 but will now air two episodes right after the This Is Us season finale March 14.
As you remember from last weeks, This Is Us episode titled ‘Memphis’ Randall (Sterling K. Brown) drove his birth father William (Ron Cephas Jones) to his hometown of Memphis. Knowing William doesn’t have very long to live due to his Stage 4 cancer and Randall coming on the heels of a severe panic attack takes the ill advise road trip.
It’s during this road trip that William gets a chance to pay his respect to Randall’s adopted father, Jack. We also get to see the humble beginnings of William with his mother and the events that caused the once promising jazz musician to become a drug addict. Although we already know William is going to die, it’s Randall who prepares him for that eventuality. Be that as it may, the time Randall and William had was short; it did give Randall more answers about his birth family and appreciation to sit and watch the ducks.
